![]() Handles the water pretty well but you will end up getting soaked from head to foot. I have taken it on several trail rides crossing steams about a foot deep. Just have to lean a little more and kick the gas and it will come to life. As for turning or sliding in the sand it tends to dig into the ground on corners. Yes it's a heavy beast but the power makes up for that. Just make sure your tire pressure is set and you have inspected your treads. Handles awsome on the salt flats, top speed will blow you away. Stock shocks could be adjusted or I could purchase better performance ones. I am impressed with the independent suspension on the rough terrain and bumps. Cold weather starts no problem just flick the switch, wait 2 seconds and your fired up. The fuel injection works like magic when you need to get started Since it was a 2008 model the price was knocked back a few hundred, but the savings was worth every cent. I just purchased a new TRX700XX a few months ago, and have been tearing up the sand dunes and trails in Texas every weekend. So the Honda has been the one of choice with dependability. I also have an '07 Rhino that I bored out to 686 and put a turbo on it but it has not been reliable and am afraid to get to far from the truck. I haven't fallen in love with it as much as my Raptor but that will come with some more seat time. It would be nice if it has some sort of friction screw that was adjustable. ![]() The injection on the Honda is so smooth that the throttle is so easy to mash, it makes it hard to ride on rocky stuff because you are always blipping it when you hit rock, etc., and it wants to jump out from under you. I had an '01 Raptor 660 before the Honda and it was carbed. ![]() Most of my riding was last Feb and March when we went to the Imperial Sand Dunes in Ca. Would do it again with any new quad I bought. This has turned out to be a good investment. I knew the black would scuff very easily from throwing my short legs over it and from brush scratches. It is a red and black and before I ever rode it, I had the quad covered with clear plastic film. on it according to the GPS I put on it every time I ride it. I live in Texas and I have had it for a year now and haven't ridden it as much as I would like. Thank u Honda for an amazing machine!!! I love it more then ever!!!! But I have only seen 3 other 700xx in the last 5 years that I have owned my quad. It is almost impossible to try n find tires off any kind of personal sales sites like craigslist because of the unique size. If your wanting a tougher then nails bada** quad your wanting the TRX700xx!!!!!!!!!!! Now the 1 n only minor downfall is, the tires/wheel sizes & pattern. I guess what I am trying to say is I would defiantly without a doubt drop 8k on this quad over n over again. I barley have to shift my weight n turn the handle bars n can do perfect donuts in utter bliss. I love the IRS so much better then a swing arm. I have been riding sense 5 years old either on snowmobiles, 3 wheeler, 4 wheelers, dirt bikes & odysseys. couldn't be more happy!!!! I have rolled, crashed & completely flipped my quad n its tougher then any other atv/utv I've ever seen in my life. As well as ALL terrains such as gravel, mud, clay, dunes, trails and fields. We ride YEAR ROUND including snow (but I get stuck in the snow here n there). * Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii are free as long as the parts will fit in a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate box or envelope.įor any other type of shipping there will be a charge.I got my brand new 2008 TRX700xx (I am the 1 n only owner) in March of 2010 for my wedding present.
